Emergence: An adult cricket climbs out of his last larval skin at the entrance to his burrow. June 2012.

Eviction: Earwigs like burrows. They use their pincers to threaten the cricket. Despite being much smaller they usually win and evict the owner. May 2011.

Eating: Crickets often take food from around their burrows and drag it inside to eat safely. May 2011.
